At GOWA, our members are dedicated to bringing the outdoors to Georgia and the world. Our mission revolves around showcasing the natural resources available to anyone who wants to experience the abundance of outdoor opportunities here in Georgia. Whether it’s hiking trails or camping in state parks, hunting the pine and hardwood forests for deer and turkey, feeling the excitement of flushing a covey of quail, or catching monsters in our impoundments and coastal fisheries…our articles, videos, photography and social media bring the outdoors to a vast audience across the U.S.

As one of the oldest, continuously running outdoor writers groups in the country, the depth of experience and shared knowledge among the membership makes GOWA a jewel in the outdoor industry.
